She had already contacted the police herself and hired a Thai lawyer, but the account remained frozen.

Our work took four working days: three trips to the police in Ayutthaya province and one day at the cyber police and SCB in Bangkok. About two weeks after the police issued the release letter, SCB restored access to her account.

The case at a glance

Bank: SCB (Siam Commercial Bank)

Hold: police order from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, since March 2024

Balance: about 5,000,000 THB

Our work: 4 working days: 3 trips to Ayutthaya, 1 day in Bangkok

Timeline: about a month from our first trip to access restored

Fees for this case (June–July 2026): 4 days × 11,770 THB = 47,080 THB including 7% VAT; travel costs paid separately

Result: police release letter issued; account unfrozen

How the account got frozen

The client, a Chinese professional living and working in Bangkok, had saved this money over years of work. The problem started with a favour. A Chinese acquaintance who exchanged cryptocurrency had no Thai bank account, so she helped him exchange money through hers, more than once. She did not know where the money came from.

Later, one of those transfers turned out to be linked to a police complaint. The police in Ayutthaya province sent an order to SCB, and the bank put a hold on her whole account.

Two years of waiting

She did not ignore the problem. She went to the officer in charge herself, but she could not agree on the next steps with him or work out which evidence he needed. She also hired a Thai lawyer, but the account stayed frozen, and over time the officer stopped replying.

In June 2026 she found us through our RedNote (Xiaohongshu) account and wrote to us. The money was everything she had saved, and she wanted to get it back.

Visit 1: finding out what the officer needs

First, Mike went to the police in Ayutthaya on his own. He met the officer, explained the client’s situation in Thai and gave a statement. This first meeting was not about the release yet. It was about understanding what the officer needed to move the case forward.

The answer was clear: a list of documents, an official statement from the bank, and the client herself at the next meeting.

Visit 2: the client’s statement

For the second visit we went together. The client gave her statement, and Mike interpreted between English and Thai. The officer asked who had sent the money, why it came to her account and what she knew about it.

He then asked for more evidence: screenshots of the conversations and transfers, and a written explanation of what had happened.

Collecting the evidence

This part took the most time. The client had to find old chats and transfer records. Mike wrote the explanation letter, translated it into Thai and prepared Thai translations for the screenshots, so the officer could read everything without guessing.

Visit 3: the release letter

On the third trip Mike went alone and handed over the full package. The officer reviewed the materials and issued a release letter to SCB the same day.

Checking other restrictions and submitting the letter to SCB

Because the client had helped her acquaintance more than once, we wanted to be sure that no other restrictions were linked to her name. Mike went to the cyber police in Bangkok to check the status of this case and whether any other cases were linked to her accounts.

The same day he went with the client to her SCB branch, interpreted and handed over the release letter together with an explanation letter: why the hold had appeared and why it should now be lifted. About two weeks later SCB lifted the hold, and she had access to her money again.

“Very professional and prompt.”

The client, after the account was unfrozen

How we worked with the client

People often ask us how our work looks in practice.
