Frozen Thai Bank Account? We Help You Get Access Back

Your Thai bank account is frozen, transfers are blocked, or the bank suddenly asks for KYC documents or proof of source of funds. The branch gives short answers in Thai, and every visit ends with “come back later”.

Our Bangkok team finds out why the account is restricted and who can lift it: the bank, the police, or both. We prepare the documents in Thai, go with you to the branch and the police station, and follow up until you get a final answer. Licensed Thai lawyers join the case only when the law requires it.

Who Is This For?

Account frozen without warning

You can’t withdraw, transfer or log in, and the bank won’t say why.

KYC or source-of-funds request

The bank wants documents, letters or proof of income before it reopens the account.

Police or cyber police hold

The account was frozen by a police order, often after a P2P, exchange or third-party transfer.

Visa or status changed

Your visa expired, changed or was renewed, and the bank restricted the account until you update it.

Already been to the bank three or four times and nothing has moved? That is usually where we come in.

Typical Situations We Handle

  • Account frozen after receiving money from a P2P exchange or a money changer
  • Police hold order on the account, sometimes from a station in another province
  • Online banking and transfers blocked until you complete a KYC update
  • Bank asks where a large incoming transfer came from
  • Account restricted after a visa expiry or a change of visa status
  • Each branch visit gives you a different answer, or no answer at all

Some cases take months, and some restrictions cannot be lifted while an active criminal investigation is still open. If that is your situation, you hear it at the free case check, before you pay anything.

What We Do

We handle the communication with the bank and the police for you:

  • Find out exactly why the account is restricted and who has the power to lift it
  • Prepare an explanation letter and a clear evidence pack in Thai, English, Chinese or Russian
  • Go with you to the bank branch and the police station and speak Thai for you
  • Follow up with the bank and the police until there is a final response and a clear next step
  • Bring in a licensed Thai lawyer when your case needs legal representation

04

Follow-up until a final answer

FAQ

Why did my Thai bank account get frozen?

The most common reasons: a police hold after a disputed transfer (often P2P or money exchange), an unfinished KYC update, a large transfer without a clear source of funds, or an expired or changed visa. The first step is to find out which one applies to you.

How do I unblock or unfreeze a Thai bank account?

First find out who restricted it. If it is a KYC or source-of-funds review, the bank lifts it after it accepts your documents and explanation. If it is a police hold, the police officer handling the case must send a release letter to the bank first. We check which one applies to you and prepare the right documents for each step.

What should I send you for the free case check?

The bank name, a screenshot or the exact wording of the restriction, when it started, whether the police are involved, and a short explanation of the transaction in question. Please do not send full copies of sensitive documents until we ask for them.

Can you guarantee my account will be unfrozen?

No, and be careful with anyone who does. The bank and the police make the final decision. We tell you honestly what is realistic before you pay.

How long does it take?

A simple KYC case often takes 1–3 weeks after the bank receives complete documents. Police cases usually take several weeks to a few months.

Do I need to be in Thailand?

We can start remotely: review your case, prepare the documents and contact the bank or the police. Usually the account holder still has to visit the branch or the police station in person at least once. We plan it so you make as few trips as possible.

The police station is in another province. Do I have to travel there?

Not always. In one of our cases, documents were submitted at a Bangkok police station and sent on to the officer in Chiang Mai. It depends on the officer and the case.

Are you a law firm?

No. UnblockPro.Asia is a registered Thai coordination and support company. When a case needs legal representation, a licensed Thai lawyer handles that part.

What does it cost?

From 26,900 THB depending on complexity. You get a written quote after the free case check.

The bank refused to open an account or closed mine. Can you help?

Yes. See our page Thai Bank Account Opening
