Frozen bank accounts

“How much will it cost?” is usually the second question people ask us, right after “Can you help?”. The honest answer depends on why the account is frozen, how many banks and police stations are involved and how far we have to travel.

Below are our current prices, what each level includes, and the real fees and timelines from three recent cases. All prices include 7% VAT.

In short

  • First check: free, a short look at your situation before you pay anything
  • Case Review & Strategy: 12,900 THB for an in-depth written analysis
  • Bank unfreeze: from 26,900 THB for a simple bank freeze to 74,900 THB for a police or cyber police hold; VIP from 106,900 THB
  • Paid separately: travel outside Bangkok, bank and government fees, any amount returned to a complainant
  • Before you pay: a written quote with the scope, the price and the expected timeline

What decides the price

  • Why the account is frozen. The bank’s own KYC review is usually simpler than a hold ordered by the police or the cyber police.
  • How many holds and where. One police station is not the same as three. In one of our cases the client thought there was one case, and we found three.
  • Location. Work outside Bangkok means travel, and travel time counts as working time.
  • Documents. Ready chats, receipts and transfer history save days. Collecting and translating them takes time.
  • The amount and the pressure from the bank. Large balances and strict branches usually need more letters and more visits.

Our bank unfreeze packages

  • Basic: 26,900 THB. A simple freeze with no police complaint and basic documents available. Case review, an explanation letter, help with KYC forms, 1 bank visit in Bangkok and follow-up until the bank responds.
  • Standard: 42,900 THB. Compliance questions, missing or weak documents, an internal bank review. Everything in Basic plus document preparation, translation of key documents, source-of-funds letters, up to 2 bank visits and 1 resubmission.
  • Complex: 74,900 THB. A police complaint, a cyber police hold, fraud suspicion or a large amount. Everything in Standard plus contact with police or cyber police officers, a timeline and evidence pack and up to 3 visits in Bangkok.
  • VIP: from 106,900 THB. High-risk cases, several banks, urgent handling or cases outside Bangkok, led by a senior specialist.

Full details are on the Pricing page. If you are not sure which level fits, the first check is free, and the bank unfreeze page explains how the work goes.

We also run a separate site dedicated to frozen Thai bank accounts: UnblockThaiBank.com.

Real fees from our recent cases

In these three cases we agreed a day rate or the terms before the first trip:

  • SCB, frozen for over two years by a police order from Ayutthaya. 4 working days × 11,770 THB = 47,080 THB including VAT; travel costs paid separately. About a month from our first trip to access restored. Read the case
  • Three police holds on one SCB account. 3 working days × 11,770 THB = 35,310 THB including VAT. Under a settlement the client also returned 10,800 THB to the complainant, which is not part of our fee. About 1.5 months from first contact to the money released. Read the case
  • Bangkok Bank, a police hold from Udon Thani. The price was agreed before the trip; flights, taxis and the hotel were paid by the client. Release letter on day 2 of the trip, and Bangkok Bank unblocked the account the next day. Read the case
A police daily report of a settlement between the account holder and the complainant, all personal details hidden
A police record of a settlement with the complainant. All names, ID numbers and contacts are hidden.

For a new case you get a written quote: a package or a day rate, depending on the case.

How long it takes

In our recent cases it took from about three weeks to two months. Most of that time is not our work but waiting: for the officer, for the documents, for the bank’s review.

After the police release letter, the banks in our recent cases took from one day (Bangkok Bank) to about two weeks (SCB) to lift the hold. More on timing: how long it really takes to unfreeze a Thai bank account.

What is not included in our fee

  • Travel outside Bangkok: flights, hotel, taxis
  • Bank, government and notary fees, and certified translations beyond the package
  • Any amount you agree to return to a complainant
  • Fees of a licensed lawyer, if the case needs one

Can we guarantee the result?

No. The bank and the police make the decision. We make your file complete and clear and keep following up until there is an answer. Some cases cannot be solved, and we say so at the first check. Read more: why some Thai bank freeze cases cannot be solved.

How to keep the cost down

  • Ask your bank for a printout of the hold. It usually shows which police station issued the order.
  • Collect everything about the disputed transfer: chats, receipts, P2P order history, the sender’s details.
  • Give the same explanation every time, to the bank and to the police.
  • Act early. Old holds take longer: officers change phone numbers, move to other cases and stop replying.
  • Do not let other people exchange money through your account, even as a favour.

Every case is different. The bank and the police make the final decision, and nobody can honestly guarantee the result. We are not a law firm; when a case needs a licensed lawyer, we work with licensed partners.
